Whale Coast in the South of Bahia – Tourist Guide

The Costa das Baleias Tourist Zone, located on the southern coast of Bahia, includes the municipalities of Prado, Alcobaça, Caravelas, Nova Viçosa and Mucuri, located in the extreme south of the state.

Forming part of the historic Captaincy of Porto Seguro, the Costa das Baleias offers an impressive variety of landscapes, with paradisiacal beaches, ideal for water sports, as well as flowing rivers with clear waters, sand banks and preserved mangroves.
