Costa do Sauípe is one of the largest and most famous tourist resorts in Brazil, situated on the northern coast of Bahia, in the municipality of Mata de São João, on the so-called Costa dos Coqueiros (Linha Verde, BA-099) — around 80 km from Salvador International Airport and just over 100 km from the centre of the capital of Bahia.

Located approximately 80 km from Salvador International Airport, the Costa do Sauípe is situated on the Costa dos Coqueiros, in the municipality of Mata de São João, on the north coast of Bahia. The tourist complex is currently managed by the Aviva Group and comprises four resorts, as well as partner guesthouses in the region:

Historically, the complex also housed themed guesthouses inspired by the novels of Jorge Amado; today, official accommodation is concentrated in these four resorts, supplemented by independent guesthouses in the surrounding area.
