The Pati Valley and its surroundings are considered to be one of the most beautiful natural refuges in the country due to its varied relief and geographical location, where with a bit of luck you can appreciate the variety of birds, mammals and reptiles that take refuge there.

In addition, the Pati Valley has a wealth of flora that is peculiar to its ecosystems, such as the natural gardens of rock vegetation, the campos gerais (common fields), the seasonal forests of the lowlands and the evergreen forests of the highlands that extend up the slopes of the hills.

These camposgerais (Gerais dos Vieira and Gerais do Rio Preto) are the source of some of the rivers that later form the main hydrographic basin in the state of Bahia: the Paraguaçu basin.

The Pati Valley can be reached by walking in different directions.
