In the Historical and Cultural Centre, visitors can visit the Igreja da Matriz, the Ruins of the Jesuits, the Sacred Museum, the Praça da Matriz, the Mercado Velho, the Vila do Capitão Mor, the Centro das Rendeiras, the Porto das Jangadas and the Craft Centre.
In the latter, you can buy lace, mazes, embroidery and miniature rafts ranging from 30 centimetres to almost two metres.

Activities include rafting on the Iguape and Manguezais rivers, as well as longer excursions to neighbouring Beberibe, which offers the impressive cliffs of Praia do Morro Branco and the dunes of Praia das Fontes.
Other activities such as dune walking and buggy rides are also popular with visitors.
History of Aquiraz
Founded in 1713, Aquiraz was the scene of intense clashes between Europeans and indigenous people, and became a town that served as the seat of the Siará captaincy until 1726.
Despite its growth due to the Beach Park, the town retains its colonial charm and inland atmosphere.

- Praia do Batoque: A secluded refuge with dunes, lagoons and a tranquil atmosphere, ideal for those seeking peace and contact with nature. Access involves crossing a stretch of the Barro Preto River.
