Rare sea chart of the Brazilian coast from the island of Santa Catarina to Cape S. Thomé. Thomé, together with an inset of the Rio Ianeiro (Rio de Janeiro and Guanabara Bay).

The decorative map is filled with rhumb lines, two compass roses and a sailing boat. The title cartouche is flanked by natives exchanging goods with a European merchant and a tent in the background.
