O mapa estende-se até incluir a Islândia e parte da Gronelândia, e há uma pequena porção do Labrador a invadir o mapa no canto superior esquerdo. O cortador de blocos tentou imitar a gravura em cobre com um mar pontilhado e os adornos de Ortelius, mas a execução num bloco de madeira é visivelmente mais grosseira. Scarce woodcut version of Ortelius’ map of Europe – “Europae”, Belleforest, Francois

This rare map is a woodcut version of Ortelius’ map of Europe.

The map extends to Iceland and part of Greenland, with a small part of Labrador encroaching on the map in the upper left corner.
