Coconut Coast in Bahia

The Coconut Coast is the first tourist strip north of Salvador in Bahia, famous for its long beaches, coconut groves as far as the eye can see, luxury resorts and nature reserves.

The region includes towns and villages such as Lauro de Freitas, Camaçari, Mata de São João, Entre Rios, Esplanada, Conde and Jandaíra.

1. Praia do Forte

One of the best known destinations on the Coconut Coast, Praia do Forte is famous for the Tamar Project, which protects sea turtles, as well as its beautiful beaches, charming market town, the Church of São Francisco de Assis and the Castle of Garcia D’Ávila, one of the first great Portuguese buildings in Brazil.

2. Costa do Sauípe

Costa do Sauípe is a large complex of all-inclusive, resorts and hotels, ideal for families and couples, offering sports activities, cycling, golf and beautiful private beaches.

3. Imbassaí
